Hello Everyone and a Happy Friday to you!
Well, as the title of this post says, I have been beading away. It's been a very productive week,working on some new ideas and also some pieces for the trunk show at Garden of Beaden on October 30. My little desk I use for beading is filled with all sorts of projects, beads and items in various stages, hopefully on their way to being finished!
I finished the cameo (I think this is actually called an intaglio) piece last night. Yes, I actually did some wire wrapping and am very pleased with the antique look to the strap. Very nice and vintagy. It's quite a pleasant feeling when what you are experimenting with works. Anyway, it's been nice to get back to beading. I had several days when other things had to be done and my poor beads were getting neglected.
And now to the second part of today's post: The Glitterfest! It is tomorrow and I am planning to be there. From what I understand, there is a parade in Tustin and some streets will be closed. You can find out where on the Glitterfest link above. I went to this event this past May and had a great time. This is supposed to be the holiday show so I am curious and also excited to see all the great artwork. To me, this seems the perfect event to wear a hat. Last time, I think I wore my purple hat. I may have to get out a pillbox to wear tomorrow.
