The Weekend and Happy Monday!

Well, Happy Monday Everyone!

So much for posting every day.  I'm here now and maybe, just maybe, I'll get back into a blog routine over the next week or so.

I had a very nice weekend!  Saturday, I took a class with Robin Dudley-Howes.  She is a great teacher and her classes are a lot of fun.  Here is a photo of part of the class with Robin instructing:

See how everyone is smiling?  It was fun!  We did soldering and made some charms for the Treasure Necklace:

Those are the charms I made in class.  I highly recommend Robin's classes.  She does some of the most beautiful and interesting mixed media. 

So what else did I do?  Well, I was a bit productive on Sunday.  I organized two bookcases in the living room and cleaned out a bunch of books that I wanted to take to the used book shop.  

Now that may not look too organized to you, but trust me, it is so much better!  And here is a photo of my nun collection:

You may wonder what I am doing with a nun collection, especially since I am not Catholic.  There's a story behind this.  When I was a kid, around 4 or 5 years old, I wanted to be a nun.  Now, this posed a bit of a problem, worried my parents somewhat, especially since we were Baptists.  And since I wasn't actually Catholic, I didn't know they were called nuns or that it had anything to do with religion.  I had my own name for them:  Pretty Ladies.  Basically, I wanted to dress like a Pretty Lady.  Yes, I was a strange child.  I remember being totally mesmerized every time I saw a Pretty Lady.  When I first saw a nun statue a few years ago, it brought up my Pretty Lady memory.  I bought the statue and as you can see I've added more Pretty Ladies to the collection.  And looking at the photo, I just realized that I have set them in front of a book called "Wicked".  Hmm, this was completely unintentional. 

So after working for a few hours organizing the books and weeding out the ones I no longer wanted, Asbjorn and I took a drive by Brackett Airport in LaVerne.  We saw this strange plane:

It flew over our place a little while later.  I have no idea what plane this might be.  Does anyone out there know what it is?   

That pretty much sums up my weekend.  It went by so fast!  I hope everyone had a nice weekend and has a nice start to their week!

Okay, so Matt just got off the phone with Asbjorn and he told me about your trip! How come I totally missed that? For some reason your blog updates did not show up on my automatic reader. I guess I am going to have to go back and read all about your adventure!
