Yes, indeed, it not only is nice to be back home but I relaxed and had a very nice weekend. I was too relaxed to even post yesterday! The weather was somewhat cooler, which didn't really matter to me since I was enjoying the heat. We had breakfast outdoors, something I like to do when possible. You have no idea how nice it is to drink my tea out of a teacup instead of styrofoam or paper. But I think I mentioned that before. It really is the simple pleasures in life that give the most enjoyment. We seldom take note of them unless they are no longer present.
So today, Monday, it was back to the flour mill. I had a lot of mail and email to catch up on and that didn't take me nearly as long as I thought it might. But I am trying to assimilate back into my normal life and settle into what I was working on before I left. Plus a few extra things, of course. I put away the beads and things I bought on the trip and can't wait to work on some new ideas and also finish some projects I had started on right before the trip. The time away made me more excited than ever about my work so I am ready to get to it!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to their week!
Hi Melanie! Welcome home. It's a two edged sword, isn't it? I was also in Hood Oregon and it was windy, especially on a river we were near. It was THE spot for wind surfing and I would guess that the wind didn't only harbor there! ha. I had my surgery and am doing fine and a little beading and mixed media. I have to think about teaching, which will arrive in about 3 weeks. Oh dear! Glad you are back and in one piece. xo Dori
