Well, yes, where was I?
We went to 5 vineyards on our tour, each one very different from the other. All were interesting, as I said before, and did I mention it was fun?
Here is a photo where we sat and ate our lunch:
There were coy in the pond, which I tried to get a photo of but my shadow got in the way. Strange thing, but after a bit of wine, such practical thoughts fly right out of my head.
One of the vineyards (and I must confess to getting them a bit mixed up at this point) had a pot bellied pig:
I don't know about you, but I think Harley is a bit on the homely side.
And then there was Morris, the three legged cat at Rotta (Asbjorn is the one petting him):
As I said earlier, we went to five vineyards. Even with just a little taste and pouring some wine out (yes, but you just have to) I was beginning to think I had way too much to drink when I saw a zebra!
Could it be?
Yes, it was definitely a zebra. Phew. I was worried I might have to stop drinking wine.
What a great time!
And here is a photo of John from The Wine Wrangler:
He did a wonderful job of driving us around and just general taking good care of us. I recommend this company and also such a fine wine tasting adventure.
And I will close this post with a photo of our purchases (there were five of us):
Such fine memories of the weekend!
I hope everyone is having a great start to their week!
