Now, I hope you didn't think I was in the drunk tank somewhere, never to be heard from again! We did have a driver. Plus, I wouldn't say I was totally schnockered either, just thought maybe the blogging could wait until I got home. Enough wine had been sampled that I am sure some embarrassing misspellings would have ensued.
What can I say? It was a lovely weekend with some very good friends and a wonderful time. I think I am going to do this in two installments, so there will be another post about this trip tomorrow.
First, I have to say that Paso Robles and the surrounding area is truly beautiful.
I love being surrounded by the vineyards. What would it be like to see this out your window every day?

We had perfect weather, warm but still just slightly cool, nice. And as you can see from the photos, the skies were so blue.
One of the vineyards, Rotta Winery had not only very nice wines but was really fun as well. They had this display of some of their bottles of the past:

We met some very interesting people at the various vineyards and learned a lot about wine. I really loved this trip and hope to do it with our friends next year. I will post some more photos tomorrow but will end today's post with this photo:
