I said I would post a photo of the shells I found in Florida. Looking through them reminds me of the wonderful time I had.
Aren't they beautiful? I sometimes like the pieces of shells as much as whole ones. They take on a sculptural quality, a work of art; and though we know it's a shell, it seems to be transitioning into something else.
There will probably be more shell photos in the future. I have always been amazed by them. At one point, I was walking on the beach, which had the small white clam type shells along where the tide had once been, thousands of them and I thought, "All these were once living things."
I wonder what I will do with all my shells? At the bead shop, I found a little hand drill and some small bits to drill them.
I also found some round and oval glass, which I had been wondering if I could actually find anywhere. Needless to say, I was pretty excited about both of those finds:
And to end this post with a rather humorous note, I would like to tell you that we also had our lips done!
Aren't they pretty? That would be Liz Smith and myself.
Do we know how to have a good time or what?
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
