Well, hello all!
This must be the latest Happy New Year in history. I've been battling that plague that's been going around.
But there's lots to catch up on! Exciting things!
We (my husband and myself) went to London between Christmas and New Years. What a great time we had. Here are a few photos:
Here is a photo while we were in Covent Garden one evening:
And here is another:
Here is a street at Picadilly Circus:
And of course, a photo of the double decker red bus. This one has an advertisement for Twilight, which I have not seen yet. Alas, maybe I am too late and will have to catch it on video.
You know, I hardly took any city pictures. What you see above is about it. I've been to London a few times before and took photos of all the regular sights, so this trip was a bit different for us. We spent a lot of time in museums. But I did take a lot of cemetery photos. Not sure what that says about me and I'm not going to think too hard on that one. We went to Highgate Cemetery. I have always loved going to old cemeteries, where there's a lot of statues and things are a bit overgrown. This one was great.
Here are a few of the photos I took:
I liked the way the tree was growing out of this grave. I guess no one thought to trim it back. I can't say I've ever seen a grave left alone like this one:
And here is another photo of one of the paths:
But, seriously, this particular grave says it all!
I will end this post with a few angels.
Hope you enjoyed seeing the photos from my trip! We had a wonderful time. Taking our time through the museums, The V & A, The British Library and the Science Museum was a nice treat. I think so many times on such a trip we run from site to site, fitting everything in, that we don't really digest what we've seen.
After coming home and being sick, I had a table at the Pasadena Bead and Design show, which if my photo of my table turned out, I will post in the next day or so.
So Happy New Year! Since I am about over the plague (I still don't have my voice back), I hope to be posting more often.
